我在美国读了3年大学,我觉得应该是be beneficial to someone而不是be benefit to somebody. 比如, that rain is (actually) beneficial for students, as they will have a proper reason for absense.
当然,be benefit to sb也不是不行,但是听起来有点奇怪。 最好的用法还是,还是这个例句,that rain is a benefit for students, as they will have a proper reason for absense.
