一般在英文文献中都是写完一个长的词，紧接着打括号里面写缩写，下次再用的时候就可以直接用缩写了。例如：
Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is a nucleic acid that contains the genetic instructions for the development and function of living organisms. [...] The main role of DNA in the cell is the long term storage of information.
一般不会特意说明“以下称为”。如果你被允许灵活翻译的话，不妨效仿我给的例子。
