While it is very hard to compare an apple to a pear, you might want to consider these: English is more for literature while the HR is more for management. They require different quality of the personality and academy. Which one do you fit better? Do you like mind reading? Do you want to deal with the people different everyday and move around (if you’re an interpreter)? The jobs offer the different achievements or fulfillment. One may be more excited at the literature itself while other may feel happy at staying in power. One may like working alone while the other may love to play in the center of a huge gathering. One may enjoy money more while the other may do less. You may want to identify and rank the objectives for your life achievement. That will help narrow down the selection.
