round和around的区别和用法

round表示沿着曲线或圆方向移动或位置，如：
We all sat round the table 我们围着桌子坐着。
I walked round the car and looked at the wheels我绕着车看它的轮子。

round也表示"到处","无目的地","附近","左右"等较为模糊的概念，或”把某物分给一群人中的每一个“如：
We walked round the old part of the town我们在旧城中到处转。
Can i look round?我能到处看看吗？
Could you pass the cups round,please? 你能把杯子传给周围的每个人吗？

around和about表示不明确方向的移动或位置。等同于”here and there(到处),in lots of places(在很多地方),in different parts of(在不同的部分）,somewhere near(附近的某个地方).如：
The children were running around/about everywhere.孩子们到处跑
Stop standing around/about and do some work别光站在那儿，得做些工作。
"Where's John?""Some where around/about."--约翰在哪里？---附近的某个地方。

around/about 有时也可表示“时间浪费”或“愚蠢的行为”，如：
Stop fooling around/about,we're late 别傻站在那，我们已经迟了。

around/about 还可以表示“大约，大概”，一般放在数字前面，如：
There were around/about fifty people there那里大概有50个人
"What time shall I come?" "Around/about eight." 我什么时间可以来？" 大概8点。”
