Do you prefer a big family or a small family?

if i have a big family but no one living together with me, or they don't like me at all, my birth was not they expected,sounds poor.
i just prefer a family who care about me, have breakfast together in the morning everyday every morning.
what constitutes a "big family" exactly? some have defined it as any family with more than the socially acceptable number of children,or any other ways. as a mother, i won't have more than 2 children course i don't like to count my children when i'm out in public,worry about if any of them may lost. big family, sounds hard to manage
