As graduation closes in on students, many of them may be entangled by internships, or are already applying for employment. These time-consuming activities make it difficult for students to find time, return to their schools, and finish their graduation designs. Consequently, students are unable to achieve synchronization in terms of schedule with their teacher advisors and their schools.

In order to remediate these problems, I have developed a graduate design management system. The system employs a browser-server architecture, uses an enterprise-class development platform from Java, the mainstream Struts Spring Hibernate (SSH) framework and a lightweight MySQL database management system.

This article introduces the several drafts of the modules in the graduation design management system and ideas on software design. Through developing an actual process management system, the project replaces the traditional manual-based processes, conforms to the management strategies of modern day universities, and responds to their practical requirements. These improvements ultimately boost the efficiency of graduation design management.
