中国的发展
“中国”一个令我骄傲的姓，拥有悠久的历史。从远古的祖先炎帝、黄帝，到现代的文明，共经历了四千多个春秋。这其中不知出了多少中华英豪：有一生以江山社稷为重、爱国大将岳飞、还有一代天骄成吉思汗，还有替父从军的花木兰、为两国和平而出赛的昭君、英勇善战的穆桂英等女中豪杰。历史上许多文明于世的重大发明，都是我们祖先智慧的结晶：蔡伦的改进造纸术、张衡发明的地动仪、神医华佗的麻沸散，还有伟大的数学家祖冲之发现的圆周率等，都为当今科学事业的发展立下了汗马功劳。
如今的“中国”经济十分发达，经济一天比一天繁荣，人民生活水平蒸蒸日上。特别是改革开放二十年来，不管是城市还是乡下，家家户户都富起来了。城市里，几乎每家都有电脑，不少家庭还买了车。每到节假日，城市里灯火辉煌，一派繁华景象。农村的变化就更大了，农民们学会了科学种植，每年的收入都是过去的几倍、十几倍甚至是几百倍。很多家庭盖了小楼，买了时髦的家具，用上了现代化的设施，农民们笑得合不拢嘴。许多大公司，不仅在国内发展良好，而且还进军国外市场，在国外办分公司。而许多国外知名企业，也看好中国市场，纷纷在我国办起了跨国公司。
随着生活水平的提高，人们的素质也随之提高了。申办奥运会以来，人们又都学上了英语，要在2008年奥运会时让外国人看到中国人的友好。现在，不会英语的人就算是半个文盲，学习一门外语，仿佛是一种时髦。
中国，在不断的发展，进步。而中国的少年也具有着上进和努力拼搏的精神。就从刚刚落下围幕的奥运会来说，中国派出了不少少年选手参加比赛，他们虽然许多都是第一次参加，年龄都很小，但是他们都勇于拼搏，对手的强大，更激起了他们的斗志，不管是领先还是落后，他们都胜不骄，败不馁。在他们的顽强拼搏下，为中国赢得了32枚金牌，排在了世界第二位。看着五星红旗在雅典赛场上一次次冉冉升起，我的心也一次次跟随着五星红旗上升，我感到非常自豪，非常振奋。我想：同样是中国少年，我们都应该具有顽强拼搏，不向困难低头的精神，不管是在奥运赛场还是生活中的某一次考验中，我们都应该发挥出中国少年那种奋发向上的精神。
少年，一个富有活力的名词，对，我们是少年，我们是中国少年，我们是祖国的花朵，是祖国的希望，我们有的是时间，有的是活力，在中国这样一个历史悠久、文明、高素质、经济发达、科学技术领先的国家，我们肩上背负着的是多么大的任务，但我相信我们会不负众望，顽强拼搏、奋发向上。现在，我们要珍惜在学校宝贵的学习时间，努力学好科学文化知识，将来为祖国的建设贡献自己的一分力量。
对，我姓“中国”叫少年，我为我的名字儿感到无比自豪。
